The festive favourite Elf the Musical has revealed its complete cast for the upcoming West End run at the Aldwych Theatre, playing a strictly limited season from 28 October 2025 to 3 January 2026.
Adapted from the 2003 hit film starring Will Ferrell, Elf tells the story of Buddy, a human raised as an elf at the North Pole who sets off for New York City in search of his real father. With a book by Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin, music by Matthew Sklar, and lyrics by Chad Beguelin, the show has become a festive staple since first debuting on Broadway.
Joining the previously announced lead cast are:
Rosanna Hyland (Back to the Future: The Musical) as Emily Hobbs
Martyn Ellis (Wicked, The Lion King) as Santa/Mr Greenway
Lucinda Lawrence (9 to 5) as Deb
Dermot Canavan (Fiddler on the Roof) as Store Manager
They are joined by Mollie Cleere, Farirayi Garaba, Sophie Pourret, Lucy Rice, Biancha Szynal, Kyle Cox, Zack Guest, Ryan Jupp, Dominic Lamb, Danny Nattrass, Sophie Camble, Amy Punter, Samuel John Humphreys, and Michael Tyler as swings. The role of Michael Hobbs will be shared by Ayrton English, Max Garlick, Harry Georgiou, and Samuel Sturge.
The production is directed by Philip Wm McKinley with choreography by Liam Steel, set and costume design by Tim Goodchild, lighting design by Patrick Woodroffe, sound design by Gareth Owen, and video design by Ian William Galloway. Casting is by Grindrod Burton Casting, with Temple Live Entertainment producing.
This staging will feature a newly designed set by Goodchild, specifically created to fit the Aldwych Theatre.
Elf previously played record-breaking runs at the Dominion Theatre in 2022 and 2023, and returned to Broadway in 2024 for the first time in over a decade, breaking weekly box office records at the Marquis Theatre.
With its mix of heart, humour, and holiday cheer, Elf the Musical looks set to be a festive highlight of the 2025–26 West End season.
