Dylan Mulvaney to Make Broadway Debut as Anne Boleyn in Six

Dylan Mulvaney is set to make her Broadway debut next month, joining the cast of Six in the role of Anne Boleyn.

Mulvaney will begin performances on February 16, stepping into the pop concert style musical that reimagines the six wives of King Henry VIII as a contemporary girl group. She joins the production alongside Abigail Barlow, a Grammy winner who will also make her Broadway debut as Katherine Howard.

Returning to the Broadway company are original cast members Adrianna Hicks as Catherine of Aragon and Anna Uzeleas Catherine Parr, with Olivia Donaldson also rejoining the show as Anna of Cleves.

Six, which has become a global hit since its Broadway opening, retells Tudor history through a high energy score and contemporary pop lens, with each queen reclaiming her narrative. Anne Boleyn, executed in 1536, is portrayed in the show as a sharp witted and defiant figure, a role Mulvaney has acknowledged for its historical notoriety.

Mulvaney, 29, rose to prominence through social media, where she documented her gender transition beginning in 2022, and has since become a prominent transgender rights advocate. Her stage experience includes appearances in the national tour of The Book of Mormon and her 2025 Off Broadway solo show The Least Problematic Woman in the World.

She has previously credited Kristin Chenoweth with inspiring her pursuit of musical theatre. Mulvaney has spoken publicly about writing to Chenoweth as a teenager during her run in Promises, Promises, an encounter that encouraged her to continue pursuing a life on stage.

Mulvaney’s casting marks another high profile Broadway debut for the long running production, which has frequently welcomed new performers into its rotating company. Performances continue at the Lena Horne Theatre, where Six remains one of Broadway’s most popular contemporary musicals.
