Cirque du Soleil’s insect epic ‘OVO’ to land at the Royal Albert Hall in January 2026

London — 16 July 2025: Cirque du Soleil will make its annual migration back to the Royal Albert Hall with OVO, the company’s exuberant celebration of the insect world. The limited four-week engagement runs from 9 January to 1 February 2026, marking the show’s first London outing since 2018.

In this revised edition, audiences can expect a re-imagined set, fresh musical cues and never-before-seen acrobatic acts that plunge spectators into a kaleidoscopic ecosystem. Fifty-three performers and musicians will populate the historic auditorium, led by Hammersmith-born aerialist Robin Bear as The Voyager under the artistic direction of Warwick native Lydia Harper.

Originally created in 2009, OVO follows the unlikely love story between a curious fly and a spirited ladybug, with a mysterious egg serving as catalyst for comedic chaos and jaw-dropping feats. The production has already captivated more than seven million spectators across over 40 countries.

Tickets go on general sale this Friday, 18 July. Prices start at £44 and rise to £324 for hospitality packages that include premium seating, dining and champagne receptions. Cirque du Soleil has opened nearly every calendar year at the Royal Albert Hall for almost three decades, pandemic interruptions aside, and extensions beyond the advertised schedule have become something of a tradition. While OVO is officially billed as a four-week run, additional dates could be added if demand soars, so early booking is advised for anyone keen to experience this buzzing circus spectacular.
