BOOP! The Betty Boop Musical Unveils Full Cast Line-Up: Jasmine Amy Rogers and Co-Stars Set to Dazzle in Chicago’s World Premiere

The curtains are drawing! The air is thick with anticipation as ‘BOOP! The Betty Boop Musical’ is about to dazzle the world with its Chicacgo debut.

Guided by the brilliant Tony-winning talent, Jerry Mitchell, who previously lit up the West End with masterpieces like ‘Kinky Boots’ and ‘Hairspray’, the musical draws inspiration from the iconic characters of Max Fleischer. Grammy-awarded David Foster, the mastermind behind timeless hits like ‘I Have Nothing’, crafts the enchanting melodies, paired with the poignant lyrics by Susan Birkenhead and the compelling narrative by Bob Martin.

The spotlight shines on Jasmine Amy Rogers, fresh from her acclaimed ‘Mean Girls’ performance, as she takes on the iconic role of Betty Boop. Alongside her, the stage will be graced by luminaries like Tony awardee Faith Prince, Ainsley Melham, Erich Bergen, and a company of the West End’s finest talents from productions such as ‘Hamilton’, ‘Aladdin’, ‘Jersey Boys’ and many more.

Behind the scenes, the show’s magic is shaped by a brilliant creative lineup, including the likes of set magician David Rockwell, costume visionary Gregg Barnes, and lighting maestro Philip S. Rosenberg, amongst others.

Step into Betty’s world as she dreams of a break from her monochrome celebrity life. Journey with her in a melodic adventure of love and self-discovery, where she—and everyone else—will be reminded: ‘You are capable of amazing things.’

A nod to the 1930s: Betty Boop, the world’s only female animated superstar, began as a playful dog-like dancer before evolving into the cherished human character known globally. With over 100 animated episodes to her name, her star power has only intensified, and now, her journey to the Chicago stage is a dream come true for fans everywhere.

It’s been a lengthy road to this premiere, with musical adaptations of Betty Boop’s world being planned for nearly two decades. Past collaborators include the likes of Andrew Lippa and Jason Robert Brown. But now, the stage is set, the lights are dimming, and the world is about to be BOOP-ed like never before!
