Avenue Q is heading back to the West End for a 20th anniversary season, with a limited run at the Shaftesbury Theatre from 20 March to 29 August 2026.
The new production will be directed by original Broadway director Jason Moore, and will feature the original Broadway puppets. The last West End engagement closed fifteen years ago, so this marks the first major London revival since the show’s initial success.
First seen on Broadway in 2003 and in the West End in 2006, the Tony Award winning musical blends cheeky satire with childhood nostalgia, delivering a Sesame Street meets Rent mash up that tackles adult worries with foul mouthed puppets and catchy songs. Fans of The Book of Mormon and other irreverent comedies can expect playful social commentary, big laughs, and a healthy dose of heart.
Further casting, booking details, and on sale dates will be announced soon. Performances will run most evenings with selected matinees during the limited season.
