Leap Day? Why do we have leap years anyway?

This has absolutely nothing to do with theatre, but I figured we were an inquisitive bunch.

Plus we all have to take part in leap days and leap years whether we like it or not, so we might as well understand what’s going on.

Matt, there is a solution. Check out the Hanke Henry calendar. No leap year! No time zones! Just an "extra" week added to the end of December every 5-6 years. So much better!
