Music-Themed London Art After Dark Trail to Take Over the West End This February
London’s West End will be transformed into a late night celebration of music and visual culture this February, with a new edition of London Art After Dark set to take over the area for one week only.
The 2026 London Art After Dark trail will run from February 3 to February 10, bringing a music themed programme of public artworks, late night gallery openings, and curated sound led experiences to some of the capital’s most recognisable streets and landmarks. The event aims to capture the spirit of London’s nightlife while encouraging visitors to explore the West End after dark.
The trail is created by Art of London, which works to showcase the area’s creative and cultural offerings. This year’s programme places music at the centre of the experience, blending large scale installations with live and recorded sound elements to create a festival style atmosphere across the district.
Piccadilly Circus will act as the focal point of the trail, anchoring the free late night programme and serving as a hub for several of the featured artworks and performances. From there, visitors will be able to follow the trail through surrounding streets, encountering pop up installations and extended opening hours at participating galleries and venues.
Organisers say the event is designed to be accessible and informal, with no tickets required. Members of the public are free to visit at their own pace and explore as much or as little of the trail as they wish during the week long run.
The Art After Dark trail is easily accessible via public transport, with Piccadilly Circus Underground Station served by both the Bakerloo and Piccadilly lines. Visitors are encouraged to travel by public transport, particularly during peak evening hours.
With its blend of music, art, and late night discovery, London Art After Dark 2026 is expected to draw both locals and visitors into the West End, offering a fresh way to experience the area once the sun goes down.
