Melbourne Fringe: Sure Sign of Love

Cabaret pocket-rocket Elena Gabrielle takes us on a romantic odyssey through the wonders and woes of dating every sign of the zodiac in Sure Sign of Love.

Sure Sign of Love – Melbourne Fringe 2015

Taking a light-hearted prod at the power of pseudoscience and the perils of contemporary techno-dating, Gabrielle explores every character archetype from the Western astrological canon, sharing stories from her own romantic history while she waits for the “universe” (by way of a smartphone app) to present her perfect match.

Gabrielle’s dynamo energy is utterly captivating and the show rockets along from scenes of elderly Italian nonnas to all-out ’90s boy band dance choreography without missing a beat. The music is cleverly selected with a distinct sardonic wit and Gabrielle owns each number flawlessly.
