Bye Melbourne, It’s Been Fun! Melbourne Fringe 2016
Struan Logan is a Scottish comedian who has spent a year in Australia performing stand up. His visa is about to run out.
His visa is so close to running out, he might be kicked out of the country before this season closes. That’s an interesting angle, but the show doesn’t explore it. It’s not even used as a punchline, really. Struan just wants to tell you a bit about his life, which is – on occasion – hilarious.
It’s a pity in such a tiny venue that the front row was his friends, one of which was trying to fact check a heckle on his phone. That was the most surprising bit of comedy for the night.
Get along if you want to hear stories of Scottish drunkenness, coffee places getting his name wrong and Melbourne’s hipster population. Or maybe just buy him a beer at the bar after his show is over?
