We Will Rock You cast announced

Today at the Oxford Art Factory in Sydney, media gathered to hear the announcement of the cast of We Will Rock You, the musical by Queen and Ben Elton. This is the second outing of the show in Australia – the first production premiered in Melbourne in 2003 – and it ran on London’s West End for 12 years.

We Will Rock You takes the songs of Queen and transports them to a future where music is banned, and everything is controlled by the Globalsoft Corporation and its Killer Queen. A young dreamer, Galileo, teams up with a misfit he names Scaramouche, and they fall in with a group of Bohemians who want to escape from the world’s now crushing conformity.

The 2016-117 tour will begin in Sydney on 28 April 2016. This will be followed by runs in Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Adelaide. For tickets and more information, visit wewillrockyou.com.au.
