Vision Australia’s Carol’s By Candlelight returns for its 87th year

With a rich history of supporting children who are blind or have low vision, Vision Australia’s Carols by Candlelight presented by AAMI will once again bring the magic of Christmas to life at the iconic Sidney Myer Music Bowl this Christmas Eve.

Tickets for Christmas Eve and the rehearsal night on December 23 are available to purchase this Friday October 11.

Since its inception in 1938, Carols by Candlelight has become a cherished event for many across the state, and even the country. In addition to its captivating performances, Carols by Candlelight is a vital fundraiser with proceeds directly supporting Vision Australia’s Life Ready program and other specialist services for children and young people who are blind or have low vision across Australia.

I invite families and friends to come together and celebrate this special time of year with us at the iconic Sidney Myer Music Bowl. With their help, we can empower children living with blindness and low vision through our services and programs, such as access to specialised allied healthcare professionals, advocacy, educational resources and a supportive community.

A mix of familiar favourites and new talent will take the stage for a night of Christmas carolling and entertainment. Marina Prior, Silvie Paladino, David Hobson and Denis Walter have been confirmed, with more exciting talent to be announced in November.
