The Garden of Unearthly Delights program just got even better!

The Garden of Unearthly Delights is in the middle of its 21st season, with just a few days left to catch some of the biggest acts before they finish up this weekend. There are plenty of new shows kicking off this week that you won’t want to miss.

If you haven’t yet seen Abandoman’s award-winning blend of comedy and music, be sure to book your tickets now before he finishes up this Sunday. This is also your final chance to witness the side splittingly hilarious and physically astonishing act Party Ghost – this one’s for fans of high-level circus and hilarious dark comedy.

Tom Gleeson’s special live edition of ABC’s Hard Quiz is also nearing an end, along with some of your other favourite comedians including Ivan Aristeguieta, Tommy Little and Wil Anderson. Andrew Hansen Is Cheap is a show for everyone who loves a good bargain, and Sam Simmons offers a surreal and hilarious take on the world around us with his new show Content – all finishing up this Sunday March 5, so get in fast! Geraldine Hickey & Lizzy Hoo’s hilarious show Ride Queens about two friends on a bike ride also ends on March 9. This is your last chance to snag tickets before they’re gone!

And if that’s not enough, there are plenty of new shows about to get started, giving you even more to explore and experience in The Garden until March 19. Starting this week, you can catch the brand new Friday afternoon iteration of award-winning drag brunch egg-xtravaganza Smashed: The Brunch Party – whether you’re after an afternoon or morning session, both shows are guaranteed to kickstart your weekend with all the sequins and mimosas that you can dream of!

Smashed Arvo joins Best of the Edinburgh Fest and the breathtaking immersive installation Kaleidoscope for the Garden’s debut Friday afternoons program – designed to make world-class entertainment accessible and enjoyable for everyone without the weekend crowds.

The Garden Sessions is another way to enjoy a more relaxed weekend vibe in The Garden. Every Saturday from 2:30pm in The Garden’s Wine Bar. You can catch free performances from some of the best emerging, local Indigenous musicians: Tilly Tjala Thomas (March 4), Bec Gollan (March 11) and Hannah Yates (March 18). Treat yourself to an afternoon of amazing First Nations music and support these talented rising stars thanks to support from Arts SA and the South Australian Government’s Music Development Office.

Music fans: listen up! ARIA award winners The Audreys are back with a brand new lineup and a brand new tour – and the only chance to catch them in Adelaide is in The Garden on Friday March 3. Tim Freedman’s alt-country project The Whitlams Black Stump Band is also playing a show on the final weekend of the Fringe. Don’t snooze on tickets for either of these as they will sell out!

Still after more comedy? Stephen K Amos, one of the UK’s most-loved comedians known for his quick wit and infectious energy, is back in Adelaide with his latest show Before and Laughter that’s sure to leave you in stitches.

Lawrence Mooney is also back with his latest show Embracing Your Limitations from March 6 along with Diana Nguyen, a rising star in the Australian comedy scene who’ll be showcasing her latest show Going All In. Mel Buttle, another rising star presents her latest show Let Me Know Either Way, which is sure to have you LOL-ing for real and the hilarious Cal Wilson is also back in The Garden with her latest show Supposably.

Flying directly into town directly from performances at Sydney’s World Pride with two side-splittingly dazzling shows – Live and Intimidating and The Kaye Hole – is none other than comedic cabaret superstar Reuben Kaye. These shows are guaranteed to sell out – so act fast!

And that’s not all! The musical parody Buffy: ReVamped also starts on March 5 for all Buffy the Vampire Slayer stans. Be prepared for a satirical and hilarious 70 minutes bursting with 90’s pop-culture references.

For the kids and the young-at-heart – you won’t want to miss The Pinky Pie Party, an all-ages show that’s perfect for families, featuring live music, circus acts, and plenty of laughs. The same goes for the hilarious Children Are Stinky – a must-see award-winning show back for another year! The iconic Australian children’s entertainer Peter Combe is also performing his latest show What’s Black, What’s White, and Read All Over from Saturday March 11. Grab your newspaper hat and toffee apples and prepare to belt out all the children’s songs you know and love!

Mad March also signals your chance to experience a one-of-a-kind game show that brings together drag queens and audience members for a night of fun and laughter at Drag Show The Game Show – the only game show that takes you to the depths of the debauched world of drag!

Aboriginal Comedy Allstars is another must-see – featuring some of Australia’s top Indigenous comedians in a unique and hilarious performance. The Garden’s Disability Ambassador Tim Ferguson’s new show Disability Rules is a thought-provoking and hilarious show that explores what it’s like to live with a disability in today’s world –this is another one not to snooze on.

Whether you’re a fan of comedy, music, theatre, or something in between, you’re sure to find something that tickles your fancy at The Garden of Unearthly Delights over the next few weeks.
