Star studded Melbourne Carols by Candlelight

Vision Australia’s Carols by Candlelight in Melbourne always attracts Australian music theatre’s brightest stars and this year is no exception.

Representatives of many of the major musicals currently playing around Australia will be performing in tomorrow night’s Carols, with the cast including:

  • David Hobson – Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
  • Rob Mills – Legally Blonde
  • Lucy Durack – Legally Blonde
  • Teddy Tahu Rhodes – South Pacific
  • Lise McCune – South Pacific
  • Christie Whelan – A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum

Other stars appearing on the night include:

  • Marina Prior
  • Tim Campbell
  • Anthony Callea
  • Silvie Paladino
  • Shane Jacobson
  • Rachael Leahcar
  • and many more

The Carols on Christmas Eve are now completely sold out but as always they will be broadcast around Australia from 8pm tomorrow night on Channel 9.

If you would like to attend in person there is a Rehearsal Night on tonight, the 23rd December. Tickets can be pre-purchased at Ticketmaster or at the gate. Tickets for the rehearsal are only $10 per person and gates are open from 4pm.

Matt is a past owner of AussieTheatre, working as digital director from 2011 to 2019. He is also a performer, most recently appeared in the Australian tour of Mamma Mia! and previously in the Australian/NZ tour of CATS and Enda Markey's acclaimed production of Blood Brothers. As well as performing Matt keeps himself busy in the digital side of the arts working with web design agency Emptyhead Digital
