South Pacific sets sail for Perth this November
Opera Australia’s critically acclaimed production of South Pacific is heading to Perth this November, with Teddy Tahu Rhodes and Lisa McCune leading company in the roles of Emile De Becque and Nellie Forbush.

Set to open on November 10 at the Crown Theatre and play a limited four week season, Bartlett Sher’s Tony Award winning South Pacific will thrill Perth audiences with a production that “explodes with life, colour, and detail at a level that is simply unparalleled.” – Cassie Tongue.
By the time South Pacific arrives in Perth it will have already enjoyed two seasons at the Sydney Opera House (12 months apart), a three month run at Melbourne’s Princess Theatre and five weeks at Brisbane’s Lyric Theatre QPAC.
Joining McCune and Rhodes, Christine Anu will be returning as Bloody Mary and while it seems that Gyton Grantley will be taking on Luther Billis again for the upcoming Sydney season, it is yet unconfirmed who will be playing the role in Perth.
Tickets aren’t on sale as yet, but a Perth wait list is available on the South Pacific website.
