Secret Broadway: Special Announcement

The secret’s out!
HOTA, Home of the Arts are bringing Broadway to the Gold Coast in 2020, first with the commission of the Secret Broadway series from Lance Horne, and now with the announcement that veteran Broadway performer Shoshana Bean will be headlining the special concert.
As well as her solo albums which have all topped the iTunes R&B and Blues charts in the US and UK, Shoshana made her debut in the original cast of Hairspray, starred as first replacement for Elphaba in Wicked and most recently as Jenna in Waitress. She won an IRNE Award for her performance as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl and earned a Jeff Award nomination for her portrayal of CeeCee Bloom in the pre-Broadway musical production of Beaches.
Shoshana is the first guest announced in Lance’s series, with more special guests to be revealed.

As well as his Broadway credit for Little Women (vocal arrangements), Lance has arranged for/performed with Alan Cumming, Liza Minelli, Kylie Minogue, Regina Spektor, Kristin Chenoweth, Sandra Bernhard, Carol Channing, Meow Meow and performed for the likes of President Obama, Queen Elizabeth, and plenty more.
Previously workshopped during Mondays in the Club with Lance at Club Cumming in New York, Secret Broadway takes a page from the award-winning book by Jack Viertel, The Secret Life of The American Musical: How Broadway Shows are Built.
Inspired by songs mentioned in the book, in the first Secret Broadway evening it’s ‘curtain up’, as Shoshana, Lance (and other special guests) sing the songs that leave you wanting more – like ‘Good Morning Baltimore’, ‘Oh What a Beautiful Mornin’’ and ‘I Hope I Get It’.
While there will be other Secret Broadway nights hosted by Lance at HOTA in 2020, Shoshana will be taking to the stage on the Gold Coast for one night only.
