Rock Of Ages has confirmed it will play a Sydney season.
It will open at the Theatre Royal in January next year.
Rock Of Ages is a hilarious, feel-good love story told through the hit songs: ‘I Want to Know What Love Is’, ‘Don’t Stop Believin’’, ‘High Enough’, ‘The Final Countdown’, ‘We Built This City’ and ‘More Than Words’ by iconic rockers Foreigner, Journey, Styx, REO Speedwagon, Poison, Starship, Pat Benatar, Whitesnake, and many more.
Set in 1987 on the Sunset Strip, Drew is a big-city dreamer who desperately wants to be a rocker, and works in L.A.’s most legendary club. He meets Sherrie, and they fall in love to the greatest songs of the ‘80s. It’s an awesomely good time where big hair meets big dreams in a rock comedy romance.
“After a great season in Melbourne to enthusiastic audiences standing, singing and dancing along every night, Rock Of Ages is thrilled to make its way to Sydney. Rock Of Ages is a cross between concert, the best of musical theatre and comedy- come and party – what a way to start the year off!” said Producer Rodney Rigby.
The cast of Rock Of Ages is led by Amy Lehpamer and Justin Burford, who have taken Melbourne by storm and rocked their ways into the hearts of everyone who attends the show.
The show also stars Francine Cain, Emma Clark, Brendan Coustley, Rachel Dunham, Alexander Ellis, Samantha Hagen, Lincoln Hall, Anthony Harkin, Melanie Hawkins, Brent Hill, Shaye Hopkins, John O’Hara, Jensen Overend, Thern Reynolds, Ellen Sutton, David Whitney and marks the return to the Australian stage for Michael Falzon.
Rock Of Ages will soon move from Melbourne to Brisbane ahead of the Sydney run.
