Rob Mills
Jo Litson revealed yesterday in The Sunday Telegraph that the coveted role of Sam, made famous in the move by Patrick Swayze, would be played by Rob Mills in the upcoming national tour of Ghost the Musical.
“What drew me to (Ghost) is that the songs (by Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics and Glen Ballard) are great. It’s a rock-pop musical and that’s my bag. I love that stuff,” Mills said to The Sunday Telegraph.
Ghost the Musical opens in Adelaide in January 2016, before commencing a national tour over the following months.
In November 2011, Ghost The Musical was originally announced to open in Melbourne in March 2013 but was pulled from the Australian musical theatre calendar in September 2012 after complications with transporting the famously technologically intricate set came to light. AussieTheatre believes that the production heading our way in 2016 will be on a touring version of the Rob Howell’s Ghost set that has now been designed.
