Musical will help sick children

Each year, Stage Artz Performing Arts School and Stage Artz Theatre Company combine to stage a musical production to raise money for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

Each year, Stage Artz Performing Arts School and Stage Artz Theatre Company combine to stage a musical production to raise money for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

Over the past 8 years, Stage Artz has continued to produce quality shows for children and families which have collectively raised over $50,000 for the kids at Westmead.

To celebrate their donation total reaching $50,000, Stage Artz has decided to bring back its most successful musical production, Seussical. Written by Tony Award winners Lynn Ahrens & Stephen Flaherty, Seussical is now one of the most performed shows in America.

Just imagine a world where anything is possible – an elephant in a tree, a person too tiny to see, a heroic child and dreams running wild! Seussical is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza that creates the witty, wild and whimsical world of Dr. Seuss as it has never been seen before.

When chaos erupts in the Jungle of Nool, it will take the Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, and a gaggle of wonderful characters to bring harmony to their world.

Seussical is directed by Sam Neaves, with Musical Direction by Alex Ash and Choreography by Natalie Neary. It boasts a talented cast of over 80 performers, with a full orchestra and special technical effects.

Seussical will be performed at the Glen Street Theatre from September 24 to October 2 – a perfect school holiday activity or a great night out for the whole family.

Tickets are $30 Adults, $24 Concession and $18 Children, and can be booked by calling the Glen Street Theatre Booking Office – 9975 1455, or going to www.glenstreet.com.au.
