The concerts will have 25 musical numbers featuring the SHSO Chorus. Expect to hear all your favourites from The Sound of Music (of course), South Pacific, Carousel, The King and I, Oklahoma, and more.

“I am delighted to host this evening of wonderful Rodgers and Hammerstein music performed by such talented musicians and singers,” said Nicholas Hammond.

“These timeless show tunes are an example of the brilliance of the composers, and these concerts will make it possible for more young people to learn and grow as musicians.”

“The Southern Highlands Symphony Orchestra is very excited about performing the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein in two Gala Concerts to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Australia and Scholarship/s for students in the Southern Highlands,” said SHSO President Jenette Stiles.

“It is especially exciting for us to have Nicholas Hammond as our Host for the concerts.”

The Southern Highlands Symphony Orchestra is a Not-for-Profit organisation. Over 50 musicians from the Highlands and surrounding districts rehearse on a regular basis.  The Orchestra is conducted by Dr Allan Stiles, who  has conducted many orchestras, bands, choirs and theatre productions over the years.

The concerts will be held at Bowral Memorial Hall, Bendooley St Bowral. For tickets and more information, visit http://www.southernhighlandssymphonyorchestra.com/.
