The ensemble cast of multi million dollar musical Grease has been confirmed.
Also joining the cast are Jared Bryan, Elisha Chin, Stefanie De Castro, Euan Doidge, Heath Keating, Mitchell Mahony, Natasha Marconi, Scott Morris, Shannon O’Shea, Stephanie Silcock and Jessica White.
Bert Newton (Vince Fontaine), Todd McKenney (Teen Angel), Anthony Callea (Johnny Casino), Val Lehman (Miss Lynch), Francine Cain (Frenchy), Chris Durling (Doody), Sam Ludeman (Sonny), Duane McGregor (Roger) and Laura Murphy (Jan) make up the rest of the ensemble.
The musical, which is set to premiere at QPAC’s Lyric Theatre, Brisbane on August 20 has enjoyed unprecedented ticket sales over the past few months and on July 15, extra shows will be on sale for the three eastern seaboard seasons. Brisbane is now on sale until 4 October, and the Sydney season is now on sale from 13 October – 8 December. The Melbourne season in 2014 is now set to run from 2 January until at least February 9. The company will perform 9 shows per week in Brisbane (Tues-Sun with double shows Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday) to accommodate the demand for tickets.
“We’re thrilled with the overwhelming demand for tickets – the rush to buy tickets shows that GREASE must be everyone’s favourite party musical”, said Producer John Frost.
“So we’ve added additional weeks and performances so everyone can get to see this fantastic cast perform in one of the most loved musicals of all time.”
