There are reports that Australian actress Natalie Mendoza has been injured whilst on stage during the beleaguered Spiderman The Musical.
Reports suggest she was hit on the head by a rope during the first preview last week, and whilst she felt fine and performed on Wednesday, she was too ill to perform on Thursday night.
She has been diagnosed with concussion and will be out of the show for a week.
Mendoza, once engaged to David Campbell, is playing Arachne in the show and understudy America Olivo will take over.
Spiderman is considered the most expensive Broadway musical ever staged, and features actors flying over the audience.
The show has been hit with technical difficulties, particularly during its previews, and during its first preview last week it had to be stopped five times.
On her Facebook page, Mendoza wrote: “Please send healing prayers to my head…. Huge love and big blessings to my understudy America Olivo she will rock the house!”
