Listen to the first two songs from Tim Minchin’s Groundhog Day online now

Tim Minchin has been busy. While the comedian / performer / writer / composer’s previous hit, Matilda the Musical, is touring Australia to popular and critical success, his next project Groundhog Day is due to open on Broadway this month.

Groundhog Day, is based on the 1993 Bill Murray movie where a disgruntled weatherman mysteriously stuck in a small American town, relives the same day over and over and over again. The production originally opened in London in July 2016 and is currently in previews on Broadway ahead of an April 17 opening night.

In anticipation of the Broadway opening and the release of the Original Broadway Cast recording, two songs have been released online. You can listen to both tracks online at Vevo here: If I Had My Time Again and Seeing You. Both songs are also available on Spotify and on iTunes.

The full album is due for release on April 21 and can be preordered on iTunes: preorder Groundhog Day
