The Australian cast of hit musical Jersey Boys will be celebrating their official opening night across the Tasman this evening as the show begins its much anticipated season in Auckland, New Zealand.
Starring Dion Bilios as Frankie Valli, Declan Egan as Bob Gaudio, Anthony Harkin as Tommy DeVito, and original Australian cast member Glaston Toft as Nick Massi, Jersey Boys is one of the biggest success stories Australia has seen in recent years.
Produced by Jersey Boys opened in July 2009 at Melbourne’s Princess Theatre and played for 13 months before transferring to the Theatre Royal, Sydney in September 2010 for a 15 month season.
Following this season at The Civic, Auckland, the show will be transferring to the Lyric Theatre, QPAC from July 13 (opening night July 15) and the Adelaide Festival Centre in October 2012.
