AussieTheatre.com has started the year on a major high, with January 2010 becoming the most successful month in the website’s history.
In a month typically quiet for news, the website broke the previous ‘page views’ record set in August 2009.
A whopping 5.58 per cent of page views in the website’s entire history were recorded during January 2010.
The site fell just short of breaking its ‘unique visitors’ record, ending the month just a few hundred visitors short of the hits record quinella.
The latest statistics also reveal some interesting search trends when it comes to the site.
Whilst ‘Aussie Theatre’ was the most common search phrase leading people to the website in search engines, ‘Mary Poppins’ dominated the next few spots on the rankings. ‘Stuart Campbell’ and ‘Amanda Harrison’ were other popular search terms during January.
30 per cent of the site’s visitors in January came from Sydney, whilst 20 per cent came from Melbourne. Visitors from those two cities make up half of the website’s total monthly visitors. Melbourne is followed by Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, London and then Canberra.
