He’s Seeing Other People Now, winner of the 2010 Queensland Theatre Company’s Young Playwrights Award, premieres as part of The Independents program at Metro Arts, on Thursday 5 July.
Written by Anna McGahan (Underbelly: Razor), directed by emerging director Melanie Wild and starring Katy Curtain and Norman Doyle, the piece has been described as somewhere between George Orwell and Lars Von Trier.
Archie and Fay attempt to connect in a world that is falling apart around them. With citizens rioting, the government is about to enforce a curfew and what’s more, they are listening in. You are being watched.
He’s Seeing Other People Now is the fourth and second last in the Metro Arts, The Independents series for 2012. The series provides a slate of five, high quality and well priced independent theatre pieces each year.
