Gypsy Photo Feature

The Production Company commence their 2013 season this weekend with Gypsy starring darling of the international stage, Caroline O’Connor.

Loosely based on the memoirs of renowned stripper Gypsy Rose Lee, Gypsy has been hailed as one of the greatest American musicals and features a book by Arthur Laurents, music by Jule Styne and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim.

Caroline O’Connor performed the role of Mama Rose in the UK to great acclaim in 2012 and our homegrown star was most recently performing on Broadway in A Christmas Story (watch her 2013 Tony Awards performance here).

What a treat for Australian audiences to see this true triple threat take to the stage in such an iconic role!

This special photo feature was shot by Belinda Strodder artsphotography.net.au exclusively for AussieTheatre.

Enjoy!
