Little-known musical Floyd Collins tonight played a one-off performance in Sydney at the City Recital Hall.
Originally scheduled to be produced by Kookaburra in its inaugural season three years ago, the Adam Guettel musical finally reached the Sydney stage – with its original cast.
Whilst the City Recital Hall was far from full, those in attendance experienced the power and inspiration of a show that deserved an audience back in 2007.
The musical starred Peter Cousens, Phillip Hinton, Queenie Van De Zandt, Michael Falzon, Trisha Crowe, Nick Simpson-Deeks, Philip Dodd, Andy Conaghan, Peter Meredith, James Millar, Elliott Weston, Tessa Hurst, Daisy Cousens, Jenny Lynn, Katie McKee, Blake Erickson, Nat Jobe, Chris Scalzo and Matthew Willis.
