Fat Swan takes another turn, Sydney

Fat Swan sold out at the Seymour Centre, Sydney and at the Spigeltent in Melbourne last year, receiving both critical acclaim and public support.

This year, the laugh-a-minute musical comedy returns to Sydney with new jokes, new frocks and it’s sure to ruffle some new feathers!

Trevor Ashley, the busiest man in showbusiness is bringing Fat Swan (and the delightful Natalie Portly) back to delight and disgust audiences for a return season at the Seymour Centre from May 16 this year.

For 14 performances only, Trevor will star once again in this “delightfully campy” and crass adults-only panto about a ballet dancer with body dysmorphia who dreams of being a star!

Packed with songs, in-house Aussie showbiz humour, Fat Swan is burlesque, cabaret, it’s vaudeville and it’s uniquely Trevor Ashley.

“Oh it’s absolutely base humour!” Trevor Ashley told AussieTheatre with a laugh.

“In Fat Swan, it’s all set locally. The Sydney Ballet Company is staging a production of ‘Swine Lake’ – naturally – and my character, Natalie Portly, she has body dysmorphia, wants to play the part of the Black Swine”.
