Exclusive interview with Lucy Durack, Australia’s Elle Woods

The official launch of Legally Blonde was held at Sydney’s Lyric Theatre, The Star on Monday 5 March 2012.

In an exclusive interview, AussieTheatre’s Erin James chats with Lucy Durack, star of Legally Blonde about her audition process to be cast as Australia’s Elle Woods, her interactions with Director/Choreographer Jerry Mitchell and her love of all things Legally Blonde.

Scheduled to commence rehearsals in July, Legally Blonde will open at the Lyric Theatre, The Star on October 4, 2012 starring Cameron Daddo, Rob Mills, David Harris, Erika Heynatz and Lucy Durack.

Further casting announcements will be scheduled within the next 6-8 weeks, says Producer John Frost.

“Bringing this cast together I think is exciting, they are all super talented”, he said.

“We’ve still got some more casting to do…we still have a couple more principal roles to cast.”
