Entries now open for the 10th Annual Australian Cabaret Showcase

Next month, the 10th Annual Australian Cabaret Showcase will introduce a new lineup of fresh talent across the country, and you can enter now for your chance to be one of them.

The Showcase provides an opportunity for cabaret and musical theatre performers to display their talent in front of an audience and before a panel of judges that is made up of some of Australia's leading industry professionals.

Past winners of the Showcase have established careers as entertainers on both stage and screen and have included James Millar (The Hatpin), Nick Christo (Barber of Seville), Sheridan Harbridge (An Officer and a Gentleman) and Tom Sharah (I will Survive).

This

year's winner will be invited to perform at the prestigious New York Musical Theatre Festival, as well as five Festivals in Australia (with flights and accommodation provided), as well as a $1000 cash prize to jumpstart their career. The winner will also receive a photographic and design package courtesy of Blueprint Studios, as well as publicity for their tour from IP Publicity.

Guest judges this year include legendary Australian entertainer and Patron of the Showcase David Campbell, Noosa Long Weekend Festival Artistic Director Ian Mackellar, Melbourne Cabaret Festival Artistic Directors Neville Sice and David Read, Ballarat Cabaret Festival Director Graeme Russell and acclaimed industry guests including Lisa Campbell, Chloe Dallimore, Margi De Ferranti, Les Solomon and Phil Scott.

Heats will be held in Noosa, Melbourne, and Sydney, with the Grand Final taking place on Saturday 22nd December in Sydney.
