Enchanting ‘edutainment’ show sows seeds of fun and sustainability

Get ready to be whisked away to a world of ancient magic, galactic protectors, and mysterious evils as you join Yummie, on his mission to protect the planet!

Seasonal Warriors: Discover the Magic comes to ARA Darling Quarter Theatre for two spectacular shows on Sunday 21 November at 11am and 2pm.This performance is a 50-minute production based on ‘Seasonal Warriors – Discover the Magic’, an illustrated, graphic novel published by Yummy Times.

We waste 7.3 million tones of food each year, enough to fill 13,000 Olympic sized swimming pools. Food waste costs the Australian economy over $20 billion each year.

This unique, magical and musical show, brings to the forefront this issue as we see a struggling farmer meet 4 girls seeking the knowledge to take on global issues affecting their town. Newly empowered by Yummie, the Guardian of Seedarious, the girls need help to fend off the evil machinations of Ecorrosion, who seeks to unravel the very fabric of reality!

Yummie has watched over the cosmos for eternities  with his powers of seed okenisis, but he cannot stand alone in this age-old battle. Bringing the beloved characters from the novels to life on stage, this, production encourages children to play their part in tackling issues across wellbeing and sustainability–with song and dance, mime and MAGIC!

This magical show is the perfect mix of education and entertainment – EDUTAINMENT! – and a mesmerizing adventure filled with songs, laughter, magic and fun for primary school-aged children and their families.
