Dr Zhivago to close on August 14

Doctor Zhivago must close in Brisbane on Sunday 14 August.

Doctor Zhivago must close in Brisbane on Sunday 14 August.   Australian Producer John Frost has announced the final two weeks for Dr. Zhivago’s Australian tour are now on sale.  As revealed by Anthony Warlow in an interview earlier this month, despite plans for a London debut in the future, the much anticipated Australian Cast Recording was cancelled due to time restrictions, among other things.
These final two weeks at QPAC will mark the last chance for Australian audiences to see this epic new musical for quite some time. With its soaring melodies, incredible sets, luxurious costumes, and extraordinary powerful story that takes in fifty years, two world wars and one of the greatest love stories ever told, the show has been describes as “the Les Mis of the 21st Century” by the Courier Mail.  Starring Anthony Warlow as the ardent young Doctor Yurii Zhivago, Lucy Maunder as the alluring Lara, and Taneel Van Zyl in the role of his wife Tonia, the show is based on the famous novel by Boris Pasternak. The show also stars Martin Crewes, Bartholomew John, Peter Carroll and Trisha Noble.
Tickets for this tantalising, lush and epic production are on sale now from qpac.com.au or 136 246.
