Musical theatre star David Campbell has confirmed that he and his wife Lisa are expecting their first child.
It is the latest chapter in the pair’s fairytale romance, which started in 2006. They were married in Sydney in November last year.
The baby is due in June, when the pair will be working on the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, which they produce.
The Festival in 2009 was a major success story, and secured such musical legends as Bernadette Peters.
David and Lisa are currently in America where David is recording his latest album, which will feature Broadway classics.
“We are very excited,” David said.
David Campbell is one of Australia’s leading musical theatre stars. He has appeared in musicals such as Company, Sunset Boulevard and Shout!, the latter ensuring he became a household name for his portrayal of Johnny O’Keefe.
In more recent times, Campbell has been working as a producer and has had strong success with two swing albums.
