Confirmed: Rock of Ages on the MOVE!

 

It has been confirmed that Rock of Ages is closing in Melbourne and heading to Brisbane on it’s first leg of an Australian tour.


It has been confirmed that Rock of Ages is closing in Melbourne and heading to Brisbane on it’s first leg of an Australian tour.

Producer Rodney Rigby has stated: “After a great season in Melbourne with enthusiastic audiences standing, singing and dancing along every night, ROCK OF AGES is thrilled to make its way to beautiful Brisbane.”  

The show will open in Brisbane on the 12 November, and while no official closing date has been announced for Melbourne, tickets are only on sale until 11 September, 2011. 

The show will move into the epic 2000 seat Lyric Theatre, QPAC – a 100% increase in seating capacity from 1000 seat Comedy Theatre. 

AussieTheatre.com understands that the show is set to tour Perth and Adelaide before making its way to Sydney in March next year.

Rock of Ages has been playing at the Comedy Theatre, Melbourne, since April 2011.
