Casino Royale in Concert
Get ready for a night of Bond-inspired brilliance that will leave you feeling like a true secret agent!
Queensland Symphony Orchestra (QSO) is serving up a musical martini when they present Casino Royale in Concert at Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre on Friday, 15 March.
Step into the world of Bond as QSO delivers an exhilarating live musical score, perfectly synchronised with the iconic film on the big screen.
Casino Royale marked Daniel Craig’s first appearance as the legendary MI6 operative, earning him high marks with fans and critics alike.
Directed by Martin Campbell, Casino Royale brings us Bond at the start of his career, having just earned 00 status and his licence to kill and pits him against the ruthless terrorist financier known as Le Chiffre (Mads Mikkelsen).
From the jungles of Madagascar to the white sand beaches of the Bahamas, Bond’s pursuit of Le Chiffre leads to a showdown in a high-stakes poker game at the luxurious Casino Royale in Montenegro and ultimately to a jaw-dropping finale on the Grand Canal in Venice.
Feel the adrenaline rush as the orchestra led by renowned Australian conductor Vanessa Scammell brings every thrilling moment to life, enhancing the cinematic experience in ways that will leave you on the edge of your seat.
Queensland Symphony Orchestra encourages concert goers to dress-to-impress in a dapper tux, femme fatale gown or anything that speaks “secrets and spies”, before hitting the red carpet to pose by an Aston Martin DB12 in the foyer.
For those looking to enjoy martini pre-show, Bacchus Restaurant are shaking up Top Secret Martini’s. Patrons can book a spot at the bar for a list of special cocktails only accessible with a ticket, or a pre-show dinner in the restaurant.
