Caroline O'Connor helps bring new Pasek and Paul musical to Broadway
Anthony Warlow in Annie on Broadway and now this!
Australian icon and theatrical legend Caroline O'Connor will be part of the cast of the new musical A Christmas Story, based on the classic 1983 holiday film.

It's the story of Ralphie, and his big Christmas wish for a Red Ryder BB Gun – and all the obstacles that stand between him and the Christmas present of his dr
eams.
“Our Caz” will be playing school teacher Miss Shields, following her successful turn in Chicago.
The cast also features Dan Lauria (Lombardi, The Wonder Years) John Bolton (Spamalot, Contact), Erin Dilly (Nice Work if You Can Get It, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang), and Eddie Korbich (The Little Mermaid, The Drowsy Chaperone) as Santa Claus.
Written by rising collaborators Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (who recently debuted their new musical Dogfight off-Broadway) in conjunction with book writer Joseph Robinette, Tony Award-winning director John Rando (Urinetown) and choreographer Warren Carlyle (Follies, An Evening With Hugh Jackman), there's a very promising outlook for this production.
A Christmas Story opens at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on November 7 and runs until December 30. For more information visit achristmasstorythemusical.com
Damn international imports taking all the American jobs!
Warlow, Burke, O’Connor, Quast, there will be no stars left on Australian stages…
Have just read about Caroline O’Connor and Anthony Warlow on Broadway. This is NO BIG DEAL as Tony Sheldon was in PRISCILLA for 2 YEARS on Broadway and was hardly mentioned in despatches at all. C. O’C has been appearing in the West End for years!
Thank you for your comment. Tony Sheldon’s ascent on Broadway was covered on this site. We have also featured Caroline O’Connor with interviews surrounding her West End highlights. AussieTheatre is proud to celebrate performers who excel in their field both in Australia and internationally, regardless if others have come before them.
