A surprise announcement today has seen the remaining performances of boy girl wall at La Boite Theatre Company, Brisbane, cancelled due to an illness in the cast.

After playing an initial Brisbane season in April this year, the show was presented this month as part of the Brisbane Festival. The cast was scheduled to perform both today (Saturday 24 September) and tomorrow (Sunday 25 September).

This is the second time in as many weeks that a show has been cancelled in Brisbane due to an illness in the cast. The Sum Of Us, playing at QUT Gardens Theatre was cancelled due to a cast member being hospitalised on Thursday 15 September.

A statement on the Brisbane Festival website reads:

“All remaining performances of boy girl wall on Saturday 24 September and Sunday 25 September 2011 are cancelled due to illness. The La Boite Box Office will be in touch and patrons with purchased tickets will be issued a full refund”
