Avenue Q heads west for Perth season

After a successful season in Melbourne last month, Prince Moo’s production of Avenue Q has confirmed it is heading to Crown Theatre Perth for a limited run!

Scheduled to play from 26 November until 10 December, the musical has nabbed a spot at Perth’s largest musical theatre venue thanks to the recent cancellation of We Will Rock You’s Western Australian season.

Directed by Peter J Snee, this production of the Tony Award winning musical is an irreverently witty and outright uproarious insight into a world where Sesame Street-esque puppets rub shoulders with humans.

AussieTheatre’s Melbourne reviewer Saskia Penn praised the show, saying it “hits the quirky, sometimes shocking, comedy on the head while finding the show’s heart.”

It may be a puppet show, but it’s not for kids. Puppet debauchery, adult themes and I-can’t-believe-they-did-that moments will draw frequent and hearty laughter from its adult audiences.

“If the success of a comedy can be gauged by the frequency and quality of genuine laughs, Avenue Q is a winner” – Saskia Penn, AussieTheatre.com.

Tickets for the production are now on sale via ticketmaster.com.au
