Aussie born, USA-based actor David Harris has been cast as Dan in Next To Normal alongside Tony Award nominated actor Christiane Noll, Playbill.com reported yesterday.
The Pulitzer Prize winning musical will play at TheaterWorks in Conneticut and AussieTheatre contacted Harris to chat about the project.
“I am looking forward to working with the phenomenal Christiane and at TheaterWorks on this moving, heartbreaking piece”, he said.
“To tell this story in this intimate theatre of 190 seats is going to impact greatly on us as a cast and the audience”.
After some time abroad, Harris returned to Australia in 2016 with Broadway stars Sutton Foster and Aaron Tveit to star in Defying Gravity thanks to producer Enda Markey. He is widely considered one of Australia’s ‘leading men’ of musical theatre having starred in many productions including Into The Woods (The Baker) and Miss Saigon (Chris).
NEXT TO NORMAL is the 3rd show of TheaterWorks 31st Season and runs March 23 through April 30, 2017.
