2014 Helpmann Awards nominations announcement scheduled for July 14

Live Performance Australia (LPA) have confirmed that the 2014 Helpmann Awards Nominations Announcements will be held concurrently at 6 venues across the country on Monday July 14.

Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Hobart will host ceremonies at 6pm local time, with Adelaide’s ceremony kicking off at 5:30pm and Perth’s at 4pm to accommodate time zone differences.

Although previous ceremonies have been held at the Joan Sutherland Theatre at the Sydney Opera House of late, the 2014 Helpmann Award Ceremony will take place on Monday 18 August at the Capitol Theatre, Sydney. According to LPA, the “rich history of this venue represents the commitment, strength and spirit of the live performance community in Australia.”

As in previous years, Foxtel’s ARENA channel will officially broadcast the Awards night in August.
