‘Wicked’ Movie Announces Soundtrack Details as Tickets Go on Sale for First Film

As anticipation builds for the release of the Wicked movie adaptation, set to hit cinemas next month, details about the official soundtrack have been revealed. The first of the two-part cinematic adaptation of the beloved Broadway musical will be released on November 22, 2024. Alongside the soundtrack news, tickets for the film have also gone on sale today.

Directed by Jon M. Chu, the Wicked films boast a star-studded cast, including Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda. The lineup also features Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Tony nominee Ethan Slater as Boq, Marissa Bode as Nessarose, Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard of Oz, and Peter Dinklage as Dr. Dillamond. The second part of the adaptation is scheduled for release in November 2025.

The highly anticipated soundtrack, which will be released alongside the film on November 22, includes a collection of iconic songs from the musical, performed by the cast. Vinyl versions of the soundtrack are available for pre-order. The tracklist is as follows:

In addition to the soundtrack announcement, new footage from the film, including musical performances, has been released, giving fans a sneak peek at the highly anticipated adaptation. The Wicked movie is shaping up to be one of the biggest releases of the year, and fans can now secure their tickets ahead of its November premiere.
