Exciting news for theater and music fans alike! Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and actor Joanna “JoJo” Levesque is set to make her Broadway debut as Satine in the hit musical Moulin Rouge!. Levesque, known for her powerhouse vocals and chart-topping hits, will take the stage at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on April 11 for a limited run through July 16.
Levesque will star opposite the talented Derek Klena, who is returning to the role of Christian after a brief hiatus. Klena will replace Tony Award-winning original star Aaron Tveit, who will conclude his current return engagement on April 9. The dynamic duo is sure to bring a fresh and captivating energy to the show, which has been a fan-favorite since its debut in 2019.
At just 13 years old, Levesque made a splash on the music scene with her debut self-titled album, JoJo, which included the chart-topping hit “Leave (Get Out)”. Her impressive vocals and undeniable talent quickly made her a household name, and she has since released several successful albums, including The High Road, Mad Love, and good to know.
Levesque will join an incredibly talented cast, including Eric Anderson as Harold Zidler, André Ward as Toulouse-Lautrec, David Harris as The Duke of Monroth, Caleb Marshall-Villarreal as Santiago, and Jessica Lee Goldyn as Nini. Oyoyo Joi will serve as the Satine alternate, adding even more depth and versatility to the production.

Hamilton, Stephen Hernandez, Bahiyah Hibah, Kara Menendez, Kaitlin Mesh, Kelsey Orem, Dylan Paul, Clay Rice-Thomson, Arianna Rosario, Julius Anthony Rubio, Brandon Stonestreet, Alec Varcas, and Cole Wachman all bringing their A-game to the stage.
