The stage is set for a phenomenal event as we unveil the comprehensive list of venues for the eagerly awaited 2024 tour of the iconic musical, Grease! As the production wraps up its second successful run on London’s West End at the Dominion Theatre this Saturday, 28 October, the buzz for its tour is palpable.
Guided by the experienced hand of director Nikolai Foster, this teen musical takes audiences on a nostalgic journey through the highs and lows of Danny and Sandy’s senior year at Rydell High. Arlene Phillips brings her signature flair to the choreography, ensuring that every performance is nothing short of spectacular.
The team behind this production has left no stone unturned in creating a visual and auditory feast. Colin Richmond’s designs set the stage for a memorable experience, while Sarah Travis oversees the orchestrations and musical supervision, ensuring a seamless auditory experience. Ben Cracknell’s lighting design adds an extra layer of magic, paired with the exceptional sound design by Tom Marshall and Richard Brooker. Douglas O’Connell’s video and projection design brings modern edge to this timeless classic, and the casting, overseen by David Grindrod CDG, promises to be stellar.
The tour will take off at Bromley’s Churchill Theatre from 12 to 20 April 2024, making its way through Dublin, Hull, Northampton, Ipswich, Liverpool, Norwich, Newcastle, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Birmingham, Truro, Bradford, Milton Keynes, Eastbourne, Blackpool, Nottingham, Cardiff, Bristol, Oxford, Dartford, Manchester, High Wycombe, Southampton, Southend, and finally Sheffield.
This tour is shaping up to be a landmark event, bringing the magic and energy of Grease to cities across the UK and Ireland.
