Get ready to return to the halls of Beverly Hills High as Clueless: A New Musical makes its West End debut on February 15, 2025. Based on the beloved 1995 film, the musical follows Cher Horowitz, a wealthy and popular teenager known for her matchmaking skills. After successfully setting up two of her teachers, Cher takes on a new challenge: giving her socially awkward friend Tai a makeover and helping her win over the hottest guy in school. Along the way, Cher discovers that even with her impeccable style and confidence, she might not have all the answers when it comes to matters of the heart.
The original Clueless movie, starring Alicia Silverstone, was a modern retelling of Jane Austen’s Emma, blending 90s fashion, high school drama, and romantic comedy into an iconic film. Now, this coming-of-age story is being readapted for the stage. While casting for the production has yet to be announced, fans can look forward to the musical’s book being penned by the film’s original writer, Amy Heckerling, with music by KT Tunstall, best known for her hit “Suddenly I See.”
Clueless: A New Musical will open at the Trafalgar Theatre and run from February 15 to June 24, 2025. Tickets are now available for booking.
Fans of the film can expect a fun and nostalgic ride through Cher’s iconic world of fashion, makeovers, and matchmaking.
