We have a DOUBLE PASS up our sleeve for Toby Francis' brand new cabaret The King Is Dead: Long Live Queen, which is playing for one night only at Sydney's The Basement in Circular Quay on Monday November 19.
Described by David Campbell as “the most original cabaret performer at present”, Francis will be performing this new
show – which is halfway between cabaret and a rock show – under the musical direction of Andrew Worboys (Florence and the Machine).
“I grew pretty sick of the ‘speak-sing-clap’ format I found in a lot of my writing and was pretty determined to avoid the repetition of that format as much as possible. Luckily for me, [Andrew] Worboys has taken that concept and run with it. If I’m completely honest, he’s had a lot of the good ideas… Don’t tell anyone.” said Francis.
Enter the competition now to win tickets to see Toby perform on Monday 19 November at The Basement, (7 Macquarie Place Sydney 2000).
Competition closes on Saturday 17 November at 4:00pm AEDST and winners will be contacted via email/phone.
