Act a Lady – Midsumma Giveaway

Act A Lady – Midsumma

AussieTheatre kicks off our 2013 giveaway calendar with some faaaabulous Midsumma fun.

First up, we have TWO double passes to give away to the hilarious Act A Lady – a sumptuously comic tale about the woman in every man, the man in every woman, and the power of theatre to uncover both.

Set in a small prohibition-era town in Midwest America, 1927, the men have decided to put on a performance for charity dressed in “fancy, women-type clothes”.

Described as part Waiting for Guffman and part Dangerous Liaisons, the play’s clever gender bending explores stereotypes and delivers witty social commentary, and it’s accompanied by an accordion!

AussieTheatre has two double passes for Friday 18 January, 7:30pm at La Mama Courthouse, Carlton – ENTER THE COMPETITION BELOW!

Competition closes on Saturday 12 January at 6:30pm AEDT and winners will be contacted via email/phone.

Written by Jordan Harrison’s and presented by By The Scruff Theatre Company the Australian Premiere of this hilarious work has been secured especially for the Midsumma Festival 2013.
