VIDEO – Jon English on Packemin’s Hairspray

One of Australia’s most beloved stars of the stage is preparing to frock up as Edna Turnblad in Packemin Production’s Hairspray.

Ben Neutze spoke with Jon English, best known for his rock career and his roles in hits such as Jesus Christ Superstar and The Pirates of Penzance, about working in heels, making an unreal woman feel real and working with the cast and crew at Packemin. We also got an exclusive look inside the rehearsal room.

The show opens at the Parramatta Riverside on July 26 for 15 shows only. More information and tickets are available at packemin.com.au
