Melbourne singer/songwriter, Bloom, has gathered some of Australia’s most familiar faces of music and sport all lending their voice to do a re-make of Randy Newman’s 1995 hit ‘Feels Like Home’ to help raise much-needed funds for Lifeline.
It costs $39 per phone call at Lifeline and with the Covid-19 situation changing our lives and a routine we used to know, this song has been released to assist in raising funds for Lifeline to further support their increase in calls to their national hotline.
The song features appearances by Suzi Quatro, Melinda Schneider, Gina Jeffreys, Damien Leith, Brian Mannix, David Hobson, Dawn Fraser, Mick Pealing, Reece Mastin, Mark Gable, Michael Cormick, Tottie Goldsmith, Joe Williamson, Scott Carne, Brad Hogg, Sam See (Sherbet), James Morley (ex-The Angels), Amber Lawrence, Nicky Kurta, Jemma Rix, Peter Cupples, Lindsay Field, Mark Vincent, Paul Wosen and Bloom who was instrumental in gathering the support of these well-recognised faces.
‘Feels Like Home’ was the obvious choice of song given we’re all confined to our homes. It’s such an uplifting song and it supports how it is the Australian spirit where we all work together in helping to keep themselves and others safe.
