Australian Agent and Manager Mark Byrne passes away, aged 45

The Australian entertainment industry is in shock this weekend with the news of entertainment manager Mark Byrne’s passing at just 45 years of age.

According to the Daily Mail, Byrne died on Friday 5 September, “following a heart attack on Thursday, which came just weeks after he suffered a stroke.”

Mark Byrne, an ex-dancer, established Mark Byrne Management in 1996 to “service commercial talent to Film, TV, Advertising, Live Entertainment and Theatrical Producers” and the company grew steadily in size and reputation.

Mark Byrne Management became Entertainment Management in 2012 and now boasts an extensive celebrity client list including Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Toni Pearen, Maggie Kirkpatrick, Ben Mingay, Matt Lee, Sharni Vinson, Timomatic, Michael Cormick and Casey Burgess and more.

Artists, colleagues, friends and clients have taken to twitter to express their grief.
