Hit Musical Comedy Titanique Sets Sail for Broadway in 2026

The wildly popular musical comedy Titanique will make its Broadway debut next spring, with a 16 week limited engagement at the St. James Theatre beginning on March 26, 2026. Opening night is scheduled for Sunday, April 12, with performances running through to July 12.

The announcement was made by producer Eva Price, whose recent credits include & Juliet, Liberation and Oklahoma!. The Broadway transfer follows an extraordinary international journey for the show, which has become a cult hit for its outrageous humour, powerhouse vocals and unapologetic theatrical camp.

A reimagining of James Cameron’s 1997 blockbuster film Titanic, Titanique tells the story from a decidedly unexpected point of view, that of global music icon Céline Dion. Featuring an all hit score drawn from Dion’s chart topping catalogue, the musical invites audiences to discover what “really” happened to Jack and Rose, as only Céline could tell it.

Co creator Marla Mindelle will reprise her Lortel Award winning performance as Dion, following acclaimed runs Off Broadway and in the West End. She is joined behind the scenes by fellow co creator Tye Blue, who will direct the Broadway production. The musical was co written by Blue, Mindelle and Constantine Rousouli.

Described as a high octane collision of nostalgia, vocal spectacle and comic absurdity, Titanique features show stopping renditions of songs including My Heart Will Go On, All By Myself and To Love You More, performed with the backing of a full live band. The production has earned praise for its fearless humour and for recharting the emotional beats of Titanicthrough Dion’s music and larger than life persona.

The show first premiered in the summer of 2022 at Off Broadway’s Asylum Theatre before transferring to the Daryl Roth Theatre, where it enjoyed a three year run and collected numerous awards. During that time, Titanique expanded globally, with productions opening in London, Sydney, Toronto, Montréal, Chicago, Paris and São Paulo. In 2025, the musical won the Olivier Award for Best Entertainment or Comedy.

The Broadway creative team includes choreographer Ellenore Scott, music supervisor, arranger and orchestrator Nicholas James Connell, scenic designers Gabriel Hainer Evansohn and Grace Lauchbacher for Iron Bloom Creative Production, costume designer Alejo Vietti, lighting designer Paige Seber, sound designer Lawrence Schober, and hair and wig designer Charles G. LaPointe.

Further casting details will be announced in the coming months. With its proven international appeal and devoted fan base, Titanique is poised to become one of Broadway’s most talked about events of 2026.
